My Take
I focused on the elephant in the room: AI profiles. With Meta pushing AI-generated accounts and bots flooding X despite claims otherwise, the “Dead Internet Theory” is starting to look less like conspiracy and more like forecast.
The prediction? AI-created content will dilute platform quality while “engagement” metrics keep climbing—even if that engagement isn’t from real people. Put AI-generated images, video, and voices into the mix, and some of the top influencers will soon be entirely gen-AI creations.
The silver lining: human-created content becomes the differentiator. To conquer social media in 2025, you’ll need to get real with it.
